BIMcommUNITY.Africa is an NPC (Non-profit Company) and we’re looking for 3 passionate BIM professionals to help us raise the BIM tide.
1) CHAIRPERSON
Industry experience and respected in your field
Extended network in your field and industry
Committed to seeing the digital transformation of the built environment
Believe in, actively support and demonstrably live the ethos of the community – GIVE principles (generous, inspirit, value, equal).
Duties:
Providing leadership
Chairing meetings effectively
Ensuring that BCA delivers on its mandate
Represent BCA as a figure-head
Time requirements:
Chair a board meeting every 2nd month
Prepare at least 3 weeks before the board meeting – contribute to brief and agenda for the board meeting
Will involve meetings with Portfolio leads and Executive Directors
Be available to promote the work of the community where required – articles, presentations etc
2) Support for Special Projects Portfolio
BIM experience and industry networks
Support the Portfolio lead in driving progress, researching and liaising with relevant parties
Believe in, actively support and demonstrably live the ethos of the community – GIVE principles (generous, inspirit, value, equal).
Will be a member and non-executive director of the BCA Board
Special Projects currently being worked on:
ISO19650
BIM Certification
BIM Codesa
Time requirements:
Attend a board meeting every 2nd month (online)
Attend regular meetings with your Portfolio lead
Ad hoc requirements ie research and liaising as the project requires – approximately 3 hours per week
3) Support for Memberships Portfolio
BIM experience and industry networks
Support the Portfolio lead in driving progress, researching and liaising with relevant parties
Believe in, actively support and demonstrably live the ethos of the community – GIVE principles (generous, inspirit, value, equal).
Will be a member and non-executive director of the BCA Board
Membership Projects currently being worked on:
BIM Coordinators Group
Planning of membership events
Administrative work to assist with the maintaining of existing active members
Assist with the creation and implementation of outreaches to showcase existing members and recruit new members
Time requirements:
Attend a board meeting every 2nd month (online)
Attend regular meetings with your Portfolio lead
Ad hoc requirements ie research and liaising as the project requires – approximately 3 hours per week
The requirements are that you protect and promote the good of the Community, have the highest integrity and are available to serve..
